I don't remember ever hearing of this guy. Kinda makes you wonder if the weight saved in a .2mm wall reduction made up for the giant pieces of aluminum crammed in the tubes?

If Milk Jugs were discovered tomorrow, they would be hailed as the greatest building material in the history of mankind.

Interesting stuff.

Saw a Donovan a while ago, can't think where, must of been here or eBay, no idea it had bits of aluminium stuck down the tubes.

Doesn't advancing the Biopace chainrings hurt the knees a little?!

Assuming the tubes are internally butted, the bits probably work there way down to the middle of the tubes and rattle around!

The current raft of eggrings/rotors etc have the cam part at this position, using an old biopace ring and rotating it is a cheap way of getting the same effect.

They mention it going in 4" which is probably the length of the butting. It wouldn't do any good to have it hanging out in the middle of the tubes.
