Not sure exactly how the Google advertising works but it is tailored for you. It looks at various data, location being one but also your web and search histories. All rather clever.

Then why do I keep getting eBay ads for every GT that's for sale? I don't even like GT.

The ebay ads are ones I've manually setup. Sadly it would seem I'm not as clever as google.
