Someone on eBay with a very good feedback rating has listed these tyres... unfortunately he has copied the photo and exact description (word-for-word) from me!
How do I know? He bought them from me in November '09 and the photo shows the wall from my shed!!

I've bought stuff from eBay, decided it wasn't what I've wanted and pinched the pictures and description from the previous listing for my auction.

I guess he's being dishonest in that he obviously didn't take them from his Enduro. However, if he hasn't used them since he bought them, he's not exactly ripping anyone off.

If it really bothers you, report it to eBay.

yeah exactly... he's probably not used them and TBH I'm slightly smarting from his asking price   but technically his listing is completely dishonest!

interesting one, id be more concerned that he cant be bothered to write his own description than any attempted dishonesty, just makes him seem like a chancer.
how much did he buy them for then? is he marking them up?

Looks like he buys and sells parts through eBay, so probably never intended to use them - just wait a few weeks then sell them at a profit.

I'm too lazy to operate at the scale required to make this worthwhile but plenty of people do it. A friend of mine buys 100's of clothes each weekend at car boot sales, she then washes/repairs/irons them and sticks them on eBay. She makes a fortune out of it.

You can report items to ebay where a seller copies your listing. I have done it before with car wheels. I take a lot of time with my listings usually so it really bugs me when people copy any paste my listings. Ebay will remove it

I don't see the problem with it at all.

At the end of the day you had an item for sale and they bought it, you got your money and sent the item off. They have now decided to sell that item and have re-used the pictures and text. The seller may not have a digital camera and how do you know they copied and pasted the text? They might have re-typed it word for word.

This kind do thing goes on all of the time. Personally i'd take it as a compliment that they thought your pictures and desc were that good that they decided to use them as they couldn't do any better.

It certainly doesn't make them a dodgy seller or someone to be avoided.
