Dismantling a freewheel

Does this require special tools or can it be done with a pair of chainwhips?
 
One to hold the block and one to remove each sprocket in turn.

Are all the sprockets on with a right hand thread?
 
They are a mixture of right hand threads and splines depending on manufacturer, is it something special?

If memory serves the three largest cogs are held with splines and the fourth is threaded and holds them on. 5 and 6 screw together and then go onto the body, the thread on the body is stepped down for the smaller cogs.........

I wonder if there's a diagram on the web somewhere?

Not sure about models, but some Regina's have the biggest sprockets thread on, left handed from the back
