Wish I'd read the following thread, about using the dishwasher to clean stuff.....

In a drunken moment I decided to chuck a front mech into the dishwasher to see what happened - came out gleaming as you'd expect, but the clamp is now dull as f**k. The rest of the mech is fine.
Shouldn't have put the cleaning tab in. Guess the anodising has come off, although saying that there wasn't much left on it anyway (well used M735).
Any suggestions for bringing the shine back out again, if only a little bit???
