Difference between Cannondale 2.8 & 3.0

Picked up a Cannondale but the graphics are gone so I'm not sure which it is a 2.8 or 3.0.

It has Sub 1 1.25" forks and a seperate collar on the seattube. Cantilever stays/ dropouts of course.

2.8 and 3.0 were the weights of one particular size iirc. Maybe vintagecannondale.com will be of help?

Yup aware that they're the weights of the frame but didn't want to have to strip the bike down to find out. And then of course there's the question of what size frame do those weights apply to? Mine would probably weigh 2.9 and I'll be none the wiser

The only similarity was the cantilever stays apparently so those in the know should be able to spot the difference

Easy, I cant believe no one has pointed this out, the difference between the 2.8 and 3 is 0.2

From what I remember, the 3.0 used round tubing and the 2.8 featured ovalised tubing at the BB
