Di2 issue

Hi
Just trying to rest my Di2 components before installing them. I have hooked up rear mech to battery and shifter and seems fine. If I try this with front mech nothing happens. I only have two wires at mo and cannot install both front and rear to the battery at same time. Is this the issue? Does front mech need rear mech to. Work? I know that rear is the lead component etc

If I remember rightly, both need connecting as the front mech 'trims' as you shift the rear
