Some of you will have worked out that I am learning as I go along with all this buying a bike in component form lark, so latest silly question...
If I had ordered a lovely sparkly CK Devolution to permit my 1 1/4 frame to accept a 1 1/8 steerer, would I be wrong to think I had been sent the wrong one if it fitted over aforementioned steerer with bucket loads of space??? In comparison, a spare 1 1/8 headset I have fits over the steerer with very little play.
Is there a magic process that occurs when fitting these headsets? I am thinking they sent me a 1 1/4 headset with a Devolution top cap! Still, no worries, it came from Aspire, so I expect it will get sorted soon - will let you know what they say.
