Today I am mostly after the above. Logos intact and good nick. I am happy to polish off cosmetic rust and polish out scratches if it is light.

Front Mech needs to be an Alpine band type,31.9mm.

If there's a chain to compliment them, I will have that too.

Thanks in advance

Hahaha..You nearly read my mind, I was just perusing your FS threads and thinking about PM'ing you to see if you might have any MT90 lurking.

I'm going to say No to MT62 -and kick myself later probably :D . It's for a catalogue spec build. I have everything else in MT90 for this bike and I'm not giving up just yet. Thank you for your offer chief.

Completely understand mate :D no probs. No MT60 at the moment..apart from an 88 yellow label biopace chainset

MT060? Whats MT-90?

Front mech may be a long search - I have thumbshifters, rear mech and cantilivers all in good condition. Plus I have some wheels with the correct hubs, but they are poor and need rebuilding
All MT60 cranks may look the same but the first generation is a little tidier.

I've just sold a bike with the complete, and I mean complete, right down to the correct label pedals and white cables!

MT90? I think it is slightly drunk Deore!

Yeah I noticed the slightly smoother shape the '88 cranks have. I have accidentally accrued a fair bit of that MT60 prior to choosing the build I am now needing it for - I even have a pair of the pedals you mention, battered but still with the little stickers around the spindle case IIRC. They seem to be eye wateringly priced.

I like the allen bolt design crank caps over the 2pin cap- which always seem to be chewed or lost to previous owners. I went on a mission to my LBS to attempt to rescue a pristine one with the correct shimamo tool on the d/side of a bike I bought - True to form, it chewed it.

Can you recommend a similar looking replacement for them?

I have a fixed band F/m MT60, in great nick too but its too small

Erm..Would you be willing to sell that rear mech LGF?

Out of interest, That bike..Covered in Deore..What was it? Did you put it together or was it found like that?

Cheers

That Dawes is a gem! Looks rather suave with white outers.

Pm incoming re rear mech

Re:

As mister cheese says you'll struggle with the 31.9 alpine band f/m. If it's any good to you I have this one with a 30mm band - maybe you could mod the band or something? It owes me £15 as I recall - PM me if you want it. Might also be up for a swap with your one if it's 28.6 and good nick :)

Re: rear mech

Did you get a rear mech? I have a short arm MT60 in reasonable condition currently in use on my Bear Valley but could be yours for £13 posted.
