I've been using City Link via the Parcelmonkey web site. Great tracking service and very reasonably priced. Then you just need a box and packaging from you local bike shop

Most places charge around £20 for 16kg, which is what your average boxed bike weighs - well that's what's printed on the boxes I get from the LBS' I use anyway...

Can't beat Paisley Freight for reliability and consistent pricing.

I used Paisley Freight twice - once was fine and once was truely dreadful. So in my experience (of 2) they're pretty hit and miss. The "customer service" was the decider and I'll not be using them again. I was sending bigger stuff though so in the end I paid an extra fiver and used Palletline - no bother with them.

Not used them myself but I was looking a while back and myparcel advertise a next day service for a parcel up to 30kg for £8.90. Seems pretty good to me!
