Decisions decisions, xt thumbies or xt rapidfire

Be different

L/H Rapidfire R/H Thumbie

Me personally after riding with thumbies for the first time in years, I'd go rapidfire any time 8)

Mr Burgundy

Well mister burgundy, I can imagine you sitting, smirking in the background, watching those hornets buzz about

I personally feel the bike should have a couple of zip ties holding on a pair of early non indexed down tube shifters..................might take a while to get used to

Now if you'd said it the other way round it would have made a lot of sense

Think I'm going to try the thumbies for a while for no other reason than I want to try them again :) and if I hate them I can always sell them to Agency-scum

I have Dura-Ace thumbies on my modern bike, and XT rapidfires on my Breezer. I have no problems using either - the rapidfires are a little more ergonomic, and the thumbies are easier to set up, plus have the friction option if you have mechanical problems. So just go with whichever you prefer the look of!
