Looking for a modern set of lights to put on my commuter bike as I've been knocked off my bike TWICE now even though I had lights. Modern lights are brighter and smaller generally and look better and chargeable sometimes.
Anything considered

Thanks

Happy to point you to sensible priced new lights but not sure if thats what you are looking for.

As a fellow commuter i feel your pain, i now run 3 seprate rear lights all on different positions and flash rates and 2 front lights (1 static but hi intensity and 1 flashing). Along with hi vis and retro reflective im not sure there is much more i can do but i havent been hit in nearly 2 years.

Any links appreciated
Was hoping to get something used and save huge amount of money tbh.

I have BBB BLS-64 (x2 - a pair) with splitter to connect them both up together, lithium battery pack (cost silly money), charger.
3W, fully adjustable with 3 modes.
I think the complete kit is still approx £200 by the time you piece it all together.

All great nick, hardly used really.
£60 posted if any use

Is that the one you listed in your for sale thread?
A little overkill for my needs lol. But thank you for the suggestion.
Looking for something small and tidy but powerful.

In which case i run this as the static on the front. Lasts about 2 hours between charges on full power bright enough to see by on dark back roads and to have my boss complain it blinded her as i pulled past the office window. Run for 2 years at least now and so far and still going strong.

Other light i have on the back is similer but older. It also flashes white which ia lucky because its sister is the other front light.

I have a tool box draw filled with all sorts of lights from cateyes down to cheap ebay purchases. The 2 above have proven to good quality both in terms of build/design/putput and on longevity.

I have a lnother set of cheap offroad lights (the aet that was slated by gmbn when they wanted to sell the sponsors 400 quid lights)
I dont tend to use them on the road as ive had drivers screaming out of wondows that they are too bright for their delicate eyes.

That is the spec anyway, I also have the splitter cable and extra headlight allowing you to double it up.

I'd be looking to buy new if you've not taken up danbe's offer. I'd be looking a a named make, not some chinese cheapy as the batteries have been known to be scavenged from old laptops and the chargers to melt. My personal go to lights are the ravemen lights - they've got a dipped beam so yopu don't dazzle on coming traffic. One of my pet annoyances is cyclists hwho buy thousands of lumens lights and set up to dazzle you on shared cycle paths. Failing Ravemen i've always had good results from moon lights.

of course because the light is actually shining where you need it - on the road, you don't need to go mega lumens to see where you are going. I normally just use a 300 lumen ravemen , unless i'm going on totally unlit country roads when the 900 lumen twin beam get's a work out.
