Guys

I have never really been a fan of the type-font and style of the RTS-2 logo on my top tube. The original RTS-1 logo of the early 90's always looked so much better.

So, I want to get rid of it and ask Mr Gil_M is he can create a replacement of a similar style, and in the same red/yellow/black colour, as the GT logo on the down tube.

But what is the best way to remove them without sitting there for hours pick, pick, picking, or scratching my top tube? :? We have to bear in mind they have been stuck there for 10 years!

Any advise greatly appreciated

Thanks all

Decals

Hair dryer dude or even hot air paint stripper on LOW setting works a treat everytime... Failing that you could always use Nitro... LOL

Good Luck...

Hey Jon, are they stickers or transfers? If stickers just use the Mrs' hair drier. It works!
:)

Yep, they are stickers.

Mrs GT will have to had over the hairdryer for an evening it would seem then guys

got any nitromorse ?

give it a light coat and watch it disolve

What is this? Will it not damage the frame? Where do I get it, how ££ is it and is it easier the Mrs GT's hairdryer?

So for all the questions

Nitro No

Hi GTRTS&AVALANCHE, I was only messing about Nitro ..  I would def. NOT use Nitro to get the decals off, use a hair dryer or like I said a Hot Air Paint Stripper on low..

The original decals on my Zaskar were transfers, these were a pain to get off as heating them didnt work.

The ball burnishing creates a very hard coat to the metal so it's suprisingly hard to scratch. I removed mine by using a very sharp blade to lift the corner and then almost scrape them off.

A good polish afterwards and no evidence remained of decal or removal technique
