DBR Axis R help!

Hello! I've been roaming this forum for too long without actually interacting

I just bought a DBR axis R 1997, which is in pretty good condition all except the Judy Xc fork which has probably disintegretad it's elastomers...

Now to my question: What fork should i get? new, old or repair the old xc?
I'm quite the beginner of mtbiking. I wont ride the DBR super hard just some "woodsy terrain" and a few bumps.

Rockshox of any model suit it well, i ran indy c. You will pick up RS indy, s,c xc or judy for small-ish money if repairing yours seems expensive and difficult.

I can buy a judy xc for 40$.

I would go for the judy xc. but recon would also be fine. If the price is right
