Dawes model I.D help please

Hi, I am a newbie to the site although been restoring and riding road bikes for a while, I have recently purchased an old Dawes frame and cannot tell which model it is. As you can see from the photos it has nice lugs and believe it to be repainted some time ago. I think it is a 531 frame but cannot be sure. Would apprieciate any help identifying it? I have taken the head badge off but it is the same style as the sticker on the frame - my research tells me the bike is late 70's but I'm hoping you guys can tell me more. Thanks in advance.

Can't add much to this, but it's definitely late 70s as around that time Phil Bayton and Trevor Bull rode for Dawes on frames with the same purple/pink & blue paint job, so this might have been some sort of team replica offering? Nice detailing on the seat cluster, fancy lugwork too.

Thanks for the responses everyone. Yes I have the forks, they are completely chrome and have renoylds 531 tubing stamped into them. Thanks for the links also, the main difference I can see between them and my one us that my one doesn't have the back brake centre pull mount! Does this mean its newer than I think?

Hi, I have just found a number F3669 stamped on the frame near where the rear wheel stay. Any ideas?

Unfortunately, all of Dawes frame number records went up in smoke so they aren't much help. They also number randomly and without a date code. Dawes were also quite random with their badges and decals. The round metal badge used in the 70s was also used alongside the later black oval badge in the early 80s. I've looked through 70s catalogues but can't find any model available in pink. If they are original, full chrome forks are unusual, Dawes are normally half chrome, half paint. Is there any number stamped on the fork steerer?

You could measure the seat tube diameter. 27.2mm would indicate Reynolds 531 and eliminate a few models.

For some reason, almost certainly spurious, the shiny stickers make me think of 1978.

Are these online or do you have your own collection? I'd be interested to see what my 1979 Fox looked like when it was new.

The seat tube diameter is 26.4mm (internal). I cannot see any number stamped on the fork steerer either. I guess the forks must of been replaced over time. I really only want to find out the Dawes Model to help with my restoration. No matter what the frame is, I'll still continue with the build :D
