Recall was the first 1 1/4" year ('92?), wilth the aluminium steerer. The ally steerer was recalled for a steel steerer replacement

I thought I saw these sell recently for 16 quid. 40 starting is a touch high IMHO.

They sell low since not many people are seaching them- the demand is just not there.

Though the few people that do want them would pay a bit to get one in good shape. Perhaps not 40 though.
