Cyclo Mk7 Shifter Connection

Hello. I am about to receive a Mk7 shifter in the mail, and I am wondering if the cable uses any special type of end. Also, I was wondering if anybody can tell me if I need to use a barrel adjuster at the shifter (I am using bare cable, and no housing). Thanks.

Hi, it should come with a toggle chain, where you attach the cable by clamping it with a nut and bolt. Here is a link to fitting instructions..http://www.disraeligears.co.uk/Site/Cyc ... can_1.html.
Surely you are using a bit of housing to bring the cable off the chainstay onto the derailleur. You could put an adjuster there to make things easy.

Oh, yes: I have a 190mm stainless steel cable guide for over the rear-right chainstay. Thank you for your guidance.
