Hi I’m a new member to the forum, hope this is of interest:
My Bike is a Custom DAVE YATES made in 1993. It was known as ‘The D.O.N.K.I.S.N.O.B’.
The Spec is as follows:
Frame is Columbus MAX OR, Nivacrom steel with Reynolds 753 rear stays. It is fillet brazed. The colour is Flamboyant blue, the size is 18 3/4”.
The forks are Manitor 1 suspension forks.
Shimano XT Groupset/Thumbshifters Mavic head set.
Wheels are handbuilt Mavic SUP117
Pedals are Shimano SPD.
Saddle Selle San Marco Titanio.
Answere Attack Stem/X-Lite bar ends.
Synchros seat post/Kenda tyres.
The elastomers in the forks have gone hard over time, but I believe you can purchase new elastomers from a manufacturer in America selling retro fork parts. I have used it very little over the years and has only been off road half a dozen times.
It has a couple of stone chips on the frame, boot is in good operational condition apart from tires and grips.
Due to circumstances I don’t have the time to ride it now. I shall be putting it on E-Bay this week with pictures.
Many thanks,
Barry
