I got this off a mate who knew I was into bikes, thing is i have not got a clue what it is!!!

I'd guess its quite an early thing '89 '90 ? older?

As for brand am looking at Saracen or summat I jus dunno, so a nice game for you knowledgeable chaps, there are some clues though...

Pierced TT cable
, and shape of it Deore headset at 1" looks like

chunky cable guide

Dice shape thingy and split seat stays on seat post clamp

brazed style joins and ovalised join at BB

What is it, is it any good (not expecting so) and Antiques Roadshow style, is it worth millions?! :idea:

Def a saracen with that down tube cable guide and the little cube in the rear seatstay bridge. must be early though

def a saracen, from 89 i'd say. my 1st mtb was a traverse & that there frame looks just like it. all the frames looked very similar, mate of mine had a killi flyer which was made from prestige where as the traverse was tange cromo, but they looked identical, the exage chainset could make it a lower model, why any one would put a pressed steel & plastic chainset on a good frame is beyond me, unless it came with it.

Not sure about that... Its a Prestige sticker.

interesting, yeah a few odd bits in there, that chainset is grim, but a Deore headset is a bit of a clue that it might be decent.

my mates Fusion of theat era had exactly the same rear stay seat clamping - the amount of times we had to duck as the end of a broken seat clamp bolt would fly across the garage as it was over tightened....
