CTC: Out for a cushy ride. 1955 film.

I've just watched the film about bicycle building in another thread and it reminded me that many years ago there was an old film on TV about travelling with a bike on a train. Anyway, after a bit of searching I found it on Youtube. http://youtu.be/kP1KxPjh4RM
Lovely stuff from a long gone age where there were probably still more bikes than cars on the road.
Enjoy.
Ian.

I've seen this one a few times - cracking film though. Such generous cycle provision is a luxury compared to some train operators these days. As an ex-Watford resident, Junction station is unrecognisable from its modern-day cousin (which I think dates from the mid-80s) too!

that was a joy to watch...many thanks Ian.

And cyclists without a hint of lycra...what a pleasure. I spotted the town where i live, Atherstone, signposted towards the end, and Warwickshire is indeed still wooded, in places.

But the best bit was, and dont tell Rugby tourism, 'RUGBY!!!! why would you go to Rugby?' Priceless
