Crossmax UST with normal tires?

Does anyone know if I can run normal tires, such as Conti race kings on my Crossmax XL ust's?

Yep you can.. I did on my SLs for a few months.. They're a bugger to get on & off, but it's do-able :?

maybe I'm lucky but Onza Porcs (Kevlar - not new reissue ones) and Tioga Psycho-K's go on (and come off) really easily.

Oh gawd, don't get me started again...

have a look at the thread a page or so back on this mate, in principle it should work and loads of people have, but I couldn't get the tyres to seat straight for love nor money.

Trial and error job I'd say.

USTs

Thanks for the feedback. Ive got Michelin USTs on at the minute and 2oz of latex and they weigh a ton for a lightweight wheel. I want to get a pair of SLR's and run Conti supersonics on them. Is this likely to work? I weigh 10st

I spoke to the super helpfull guy at www.justridingalong.com today about tyre compatability on Mavic UST wheels. I have decided to get a pair of ZTR race 7000 rims on DT 190 hubs now and run Supersonics. Ill save loads of weight! (and lose loads of money!)
