this is my choice machine for general xc 2011.
i bought this with some robbed parts, seat, seatpost,stem....so i replaced with suitable alternatives. it's in really good nick for an early 90's mtb. usually i buy a 15th hand 90's bike and expect to more or less overhaul it. hubs, bb, the lot! not here its all solid and like new. i had to scrutinise the paintwork too as i was sure it had received a new lick of paint but, no ,its all original bar a couple of chips. i havnt even washed it for the photo!
it rides solid and comfortably and the canti brakes are up to it as well, you will see this at the rb series rides, some anyway.
no longer a myth to me... i finally own a race-bred american import that is....ALPINESTARS.
