Crack or just superficial ?

Checking a recent acquisition over and noticed this on the rear dropout.

I was possibly getting it blasted and powdercoated down the line.

Just cracking paint?

From the way it follows the line of the joint I'd put money on it being cracked braze filler though there's a small chance that it's just the paint if the joint wasn't cleaned properly before the frame was painted. Not difficult to fix.

I would file/sand away the paint to have a look, if it is going to be painted

As above scrape the paint off and do a dye pen test.

I agree, at the worst I got an almost mint RX100 groupset and minty mavic wheels i can use with a donor frame.

I'll investigate further, it would be a shame to write the frame off.
