Crack in Chris King Headset

I acquired a 1" Chris King Headset that has a crack in the lower cup, is this safe to use, its going in a Pace RC200.
Also the Top Cap is missing, does anyone know a good source of 1" Top Caps, it doesn't necessarily have to be a CK.

Post a picture. That's unusual for a King headset to crack. My guess is that is has been pressed in in a hamfisted way, without proper reaming of the headtube.

I assume you are refering to a Nothreadset, i.e. Ahead. You can basically take any top cap you like as long it fits your stem. Most stems come with their top caps, anyway.

If your lower is cracked, you can buy single cups. Not cheap, though:

I have no experience with cracked cups but I would not ride a bike seriously with one.

They're massively over priced, so I'd try for a free replacement first.

Not sure how old it is, I don't have a receipt, is there any way to age it?
Spares are a bit pricey!
Struggling to find any 1" ahead topcaps, any suggestions?

Spares are a bit pricey indeed but keep youre eye on ebay as they do come up more often as not :? Matching the colour may take a while unless youre lucky.
