Cougar - Terry Dolan - 1990's -

Retro Guru
For my next build I had been looking for a nice early - mid 90's frame.

My other bikes are from the 70's / 80's and I wanted something a little more modern.

I found this sound Cougar SLX frame and forks. Great frameset I think, very well made, comparable in my mind to Merckx / De Rosa quality... have a look see what you think

For this build I will be going for Shimano mainly - and it will lean toward a retro modern feel, so encompassing my likes and influences.

Several inspirations will result in the final build.....
Machines I looked at were the
Batavus Pro
De Rosa Primato

I toyed with getting the frame stripped down and re painted but I the frame started speaking to me.... so will leave original just touching up where required

Invested in a Regal Girardi saddle ..... very nice....

Looked at a bassano veulta and a rolls as options ... in the end I think not only is a great saddle but exudes a little Italian flare
