Coolwall - Kona Lavadome

Next up on the wall of cool is Kona's mid range offering, the Lavadome. If you need a time period let's say early-mid 90s.

So, is the bike that many of us started out on 'cool' or can something that's the Ford Focus of the bike world never be cool? You decide

It looked like its bigger brothers, was cheap enough to afford and good enough to race. it is a kona. i had one. its cool.

I do like the frame shape and geometry of these Konas, but I just don't understand why they are so much cooler than their peers. And because everybody rates them so highly and I fail to see quite why that is, I think I shall say Good, but not necessarily overly cool. :?
