Conundrum

That's really rather bad manners on your friends part, I'd be pretty annoyed too tbh.
I'd certainly not be giving him any more bike parts for free in future.
As mentioned though he may have other reasons for selling the items, how you deal with it will depend a lot on how well/how long you've known this friend and how much you value the relationship.
You are 110% sure it's the same parts that you've seen listed on eBay right?

lesson learned and your pride is in tact.........be prepared for a souring in relationship should you mention it as you will be venting and he may not be in a position to do anything about it anyway.......when my wife did a moonlight flit some years ago i lost much more than my bikes and after the dust settled all i had was my integrity......sometimes though that is enough and cannot be bought!......

I have lent parts to my brother before including some nice marzocchi z1s etc etc,he ended up selling or giving the stuff away,pi55ed me off no end bitd,we dont get on that well but, life is too short to over worry about it,learn from your mistakes is the best you can do :x

depends on what they are using the money for - I've received many karma parts that have either been sold to purchase other retrobits or passed on to other members

And I don't mean that Pete Waterman dude!
