Not really content with the concept, but my oh my some of the athletes from the Caribbean really set the stage alight!

Compared to Glasgow? Glentress is a pita for me to get to from Glasgow in a car, never mind getting tourists to it by bus and back. Plus there's nothing for miles oh and the games are in Glasgow. And as for Glencoe...highlandsflyer":2gh7bn64 said:Accessibility is not an issue for places like Glentress or Glencoe.
Agreed. But this is Glasgow's event, and given we've had wall to wall coverage of the city all across the BBC for two weeks I don't think we'll do too badly tourism wise. We even had sun for a week ffs, and no live on tv stabbings. Still not sure why wandering hands Hardeep and Naveed from the shop are the only Glaswegians the BBC will put on the telly though. **** hasn't lived here for about 20 years. Although they had an Englishman pretending to be a Scotsman in a venue famous for Scotsmen pretending to be Irishmen at the opening night so maybe it's me that's got it wrong.highlandsflyer":2gh7bn64 said:There are a wealth of venues that were better suited to show off Scotland's status as a world class mountain biking destination.
