Will leave for a trip to Colorado in 2 weeks :D :D
planning to go to Durango/Crested Butte and Moab (UT)

The Groovy on the Slickrock - now there's a photo opportunity 8)

Yeah that would be a nice opportunity, but...................many many moons ago (2006) I bought Rody's GROVE Assault wich has been stored in Paonia (CO) for 2 years .......... waiting for me to pick her up and ride her
Feels a bit strange to leave the GROOVY at home for such a fabulous trip though.....
The GROVE you can find on this page
http://www.purplelizard.com/GI%20assault.htm
scroll a bit until you see a pink/yellow bike that will at least look pretty retro on the pics

cheers roy

Durango sucks. Dont come here.

That Durango shot looks like some of the lower Crested Butte trails, Reno/Flag/Bear or something like that

Ride at Gunnerson if you get the chance, excellent flowing trails without the altitude of Crested Butte :)

Its Jones.

Reno/Flag/Bear in CB is still snowed in. Crazy.

Hartman's @ Gunnison is awesome.

Strange. I rode it last week.

Reno Ridge is snowed in, but the fire road climb up from Cement Creek Road is open, as are the Flag and Bear loops, though the water is deep and fast on the Flag descent, and Bear has suffered severe rut-type trail damage from motorcycle use. The Dead Man switchbacks are in great shape, though.

I'd suggest cutting out Bear by following the fire road around the top then using the trail across/through the top valley to the top of Dead Man.

If you are going to Moab anyway, I'd say Hartman Rocks is a bit of a disappointment by comparison. Though, it's a great "standby" ride as it never seems to rain there.
