Colnago Tecnos

Not sure if this is retro enough. Late 90s (I think) Tecnos bought as a frame and fitted with contemporary Campag Chorus 9 speed and Shamals. Note the Freuler geometry!

The Shamals are tubs so I'm after some suitable lightweight clinchers if anyone has anything spare!

The Flite Genuine Gel with my name embroidered on it was the free gift that subscribers to the new ProCycling magazine got when it first came out. Does anyone else still have theirs?

How did you do the headset to take a modern stem?

Thanks for comments - happy to let you know where bike from if you'll PM me.

The bike came with the 1" threadless fork (I'm not sure if the Precisa fork is original to the bike, which I bought as a bare frame and forks) and I fitted a new 1" threadless Record headset.

Bikes of the late nineties often seemed to have 1" threadless headsets, presumably as part of a transition from threaded to 1 1/8" aheadsets.
