2005 Mountain Cycle San Andreas.

Bought this bike about six months ago before that it had only ever had one owner from new. This bike has never had double or triple crown forks fitted so does not suffer from the usual marked frames.

Bike was serviced as soon as I bought it and rides well. I would describe the condition as slightly tatty, doesn't look new it looks like a DH bike should IMO. The first owner only ever used it on the road but I've been riding short trails on it a few times since I've owned it with no problems. There are some cable rub marks on the frame and fork but I have added frame protector patches which work well and don't stand out too much.

I want £600 for it as I really don't mind keeping it but would like to try something a little more modern. They have been going for silly money lately and I'd pick mine over most of the ones I've seen for sale.

Collection only , message me on here if interested.

EDIT: Now £400

Thanks, sorry to hear about your back. Was yours the big orange San An? I'm sure I found some of your threads when I was first trying to find out about them on Google.
I know what you mean about selling, I think I'm asking the top end value of the bike because I really don't mind keeping it but its still cheaper than most I've seen for sale lately.

Here is a great video of a San Andreas in action featuring Shaums March, great vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NT6hqTUpzEo

the ones more expensive than this don't sell very often, keep it! everyone that sells one regrets it! i paid £32 for my frame...they do turn up cheap from time to time.....but not in this condition.....lovely bike!

WOW your frame was a bargain! I saw a frame go last week but it had the usual fork damage.

Just for the record the bike isn't in lovely condition but it has had a very recent service and I ride it a couple of times a week with zero issues. I'd like to do so much to this bike but I don't want to spend lots on it when I could have something more modern. Not bothered if it doesn't sell though, I've not even put it on ebay it can stay here as my DH bike if nobody wants to give it a better home :)

Yours was a beast alright, everybody should watch that video!

After swapping bikes with my mate for our usual ride I can see that replacing the San An will be a hard thing to. I rode my mates Kona Stinky and although it does climb almost as well as my San An I found it to weigh a lot more, maybe 10lbs or so.

Here are a couple of pictures after a quick wash.

All the ex San An owners are injured, what kind of advert is that for my bike
