Clever way to store essentials on a ride?

I usually take just the keys I need, a multitool and some cash or a card but with no zipped pockets and a dislike for bike-mounted bags, backpacks and the like I'm wondering if any of you have clever ways to store things...maybe inside the bike somewhere, taped on or something else?

Suggestions welcome!

Not very clever/imaginative, but I use a micro saddle bag - a velcro fitting one to get a very tight fit to the underside of the saddle so no jangling about.. This is the one I'm using, it actually looks smaller on my skinny saddle than it does in the photo and I really don't notice it's there. https://www.probikekit.co.uk/cycling-ac ... 83952.html

I've also started taking a very cheap credit card sized phone in the bag above, for emergencies - £8 plus a pay as you go topup. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Thin-Bar-Mini ... 2531802480

Get one of those pocket rolls/wallets/pouches
I have a leyzne one (now discontinued unfortunately) that takes all my tools, inhaler, gas bombs, keys etc. Fits perfectly into the middle pocket.

Only thing that doesn't fit is my phone. Which i have a separate case for.

I have a bottle mount tool bottle thing.

Re:

I too use a micro saddle bag, plenty of room for keys, phone, multitool and a little treat. Most of them clip to the saddle rails and velcro onto the seatpost.I put a small bit of bubble wrap in mine so the contents are protected from each other and vibration.

Re:

camelbak lobo.

i got one of the ones linked below for £25 in decathlon a couple of years ago.

itll fit a galaxy s8+ (in an otterbox defender case too!), card, cash and car kesy in the top pocket.

bottom pockets are big enough for tyre levers, a couple of allen keys + leatherman, patches if you need them and a couple of chocolate bars also space for a spare tube or two if you don't fill the reservoir to the brim as its got another slip pocket in the bottom.

last weekend it held 6 hot dog buns, a 1ltr flask, fruit shoot, bottle of water and phone / keys / cash etc. while i was out with the boy.
