Hi everyone I have a 90s Model Claude Butler Commanche Mountain Bike with a chrome alloy frame could anyone give me some information about this model eg catalogue brochure pictures maybe year of release and RRP etc. Its a really great bike and is totally original rides well and would love to find some specs etc. Many thanks . Ok, so that graphic style was around from 1995 - 1997.
Gripshift first appeared in ‘95 on the top of the range Antaeus only, but ‘96 saw more of the range receive it with pretty much all the ‘97 range had it.
The shocks look later and judging by the spacers on top of the head set not original?
As for catalogue details, unfortunately I only have a sales flyer for that years Cape Wrath.
Best guess? Mid range 1997.

Hi thanks for getting back to me your right about the shocks they were an addition I made a couple of years back as I have a bad back and broke both wrists years ago so they make it easier for me . The originals are chromed non sprung items which I still have. Its great to find out a bit about it as I have only ever seen one other Commanche on an internet sale page. I love all the original publications on the site and I hope that you are well and all this lock down rubbish goes away soon. Thanks again. Adam
