Classic Tom Bromwich tourer project

Beans

Retro Guru
I picked this up a couple years ago from someone who had it in their garage since new. The bike was never really ridden. I think the original rider got into a minor scrape where their rear mudguard got damaged and never rode the bike again. The wheels are tight and true, the tyres have the rubber stringy bits still on them.

Its a lovely classic bike with gorgeous paintjob. The parts are so-so, average 60's - 70's sort of stuff. A front dynohub, simplex gears. A very nicely shaped milremo stem which will look great once polished, a nice under-sprung german saddle (which Ill keep if you dont want it!)

But the main thing here is the very nice frame, made by a very small garden shed framebuilder, Tom Bromwich of Coventry.

I showed it to a vintage bike collector who told me the frame is worth £120. Ill just start with that. I havent touched anything, bike is still covered in vintage dust and surface rust on any of the steel parts. Frame is IMMACULATE just needs a wipe down. No scratches on it.

£120 for it ALL if it is collected from birmingham. I think thats a brilliant price for such a nice frame. But you get a dynohub, nice stem, nice cottered cranks, a very heavy duty rack, and much more with it.

Its 23" or 58cm square.

Happy to meet somewhere, but bikes too big for me and will actually have to service it somewhat to make it rideable. Le Antique tyres might erupt if I actually inflate them. Nearest train station is around 3 miles away.

I could try and get a lift, or failing that I could strap it to my back somehow. The wheels would make it cumbersome but maybe possible.

Has the same colour scheme as the Raleigh Olympus of the same era down to the red bluemells mudguards too.
