I just bought a 1946 Hill Special frame. Can any body please recommend an excellent classic bike builder or shop in London to make me a Beautiful and useable bike around this classic frame? Thanks, Dean.

Re:

no,but please do post some pics of the build and if possible talk about the components and stuff.[spec sheet with dates]
1946 got to be tough for period correct,so it would be interesting to here how much hassle was involved if any.good luck with the challenge. :)

Is it a 'known' Hill Special frame? Robin Hatherell keeps a register of frames on his website so if you can find the number it would be interesting to check.

Sound like an interesting project. Useable may not mean using period parts. There will be a number of options like single speed or even internal gear hub that you could use. Modern BB's (square taper) and therefore chainsets should fit fine. I hope you have got caliper brake mounts on the frame and fork.
