CK Cups in Ti Frame - 'Loose' fit?

I've put a CK NoThreadset in my Kona Hei Hei. It went in very easily, not so easily as to able to be done by hand, but it didn't require much more pressure. The headset cups i knocked out were very firmly pressed in.

Are CK headsets generally a little smoother fitting? I guess it's all down to manufacturing tolerances, but i've never pressed a headset that's fitted so easily and i'm wondering if it fitted too easily :?

I have noticed that the Kings always remove easier from Ti and they seem to go in a little easier in a Ti frame but not loose. I'm not grunting when I turn the handles on the press but it's not sliding in. Have built up five Ti's in the last three years. Your Kona is a Sandvik built frame correct? All the ones I've built up were also Sandvik built.

They're you go then, i guess i've probably got a combo of headset on the slim-side and head-tube on the wide-side. The cups seem set so i'll see how it rides.

given the precision tolerance of king parts if theres ever a loose or tight fit it'll be the frame or fork rather than the king parts.

the amount of mag21s in the past where the king crown race was slack!
