The time has come to part with my King Ti headset - as I've just comitted to a new retro frame project and its a good way to justify my recent spend.

I've owned it from new - first it was on my Kona King Kahuna and later I put it on my Litespeed road bike - realisically and hosestly, its working life - was approximately a total of 200 road miles and 50 trail miles on these cycles.

Condition is as good as you will find one that has been used on a cycle I expect. Bearings are still perfectly smooth and it all fits together pefectly.

It did come with a black top cap - but I later replaced that with another unbranded Titanium Top Cap complete with Titanium top bolt which are a nice finishing touch. The original Star washer was probably left in my King Kahuna when I sold it. So it is as you see it here photographed at the weekend.

Only notable defects I can see on close inspection is the crown-race is marked underneath where tools were used to remove it (as it was a very tight fit on my Litespeed's Kestrel carbon fork when it came to removing it, and come to think of it tools were hard to get to it on the Fox fork it was originally fitted to on the Kona too). Plus note the tiniest of little nicks in the edge of the top-race cap under one of the letter R's of the Chris King text if you study the photos you can just spot it.

Anyway - you all know the story of these original issue / discontinued headsets and my asking price for what you see is a 'considerably-cheaper-than-elsewhere-,probably' £450 delivered (UK Addresses) - or collect from me direct in Kent or Powys counties international buyers (enquire, with your address and payment method).

As I'm sure you know they seem to start at more like £650 on ebay and go anywhere upto a whopping £1750 by Japanese sellers of still new examples, so my price should represent fair price to anyone on here that has always been after one. I guess its like jewellry - a sound investment, prices will probably only go one way and I'll probably regret selling it in future as I think we all often do with our keep sakes.
