No too cap, but I recall these came with a plain black one (perhaps some years differed)
Has the baseplate.
Kept safely stored, I’ve not used this (I fitted a more ‘well-used’ condition one).

To be clear … I bought it secondhand and the prior owner said it had been fitted then not ridden.
You can see some small white grease remains just on the bits which go into the frame (this would rub off).
Also the smallest marks from removal tools which I have tried to show here :
And you can also see the split ring design and rubber seal all safely in the top part :
