Checker Pig info needed

I don't know much about Checker Pig except that it's a German company. This bike has been up for sale here forever for only $175 US and I haven't found any info about it on the internet. I know it's steel but no clue exactly what tubeset. It appears to have an LX group but I'd like to try to get the full specs. I don't need another bike but I love mid '90's steel hardtails and I've been looking at this bike for months now. Checker Pig CPX 3040.

And while I'm at it, which one would you choose? The Checker Pig or the '92 Paramount Series 30? Both are $175. Leaning toward the Paramount to match my road bike ('92 Series 5).

I know nothing of Checker Pigs, but that Schwinn look like a nice bike. It should have LX components on it which are great middle of the road stuff, comparable to 105 in roadspeak.

It's priced right and the rigid fork is way better than any suspension fork of the same age.
