Wanted Cheap steel canti or potentially fixed frameset 55-58cm TT (must have>30mm clearance)

I am after a cheap and cheerful frameset to build into a comfy flat bar runaround for me and to attach a child seat to for our new arrival (in a few months when she is big enough). As I am at maximum bike capacity already, it will be stored outside (under cover and in the dry, so I am not looking for something pristine/prestige.

It will be used to mostly potter to the beach on a flat cycle path, so I am open to fixed frames or horizontal dropouts so I can do a ss/fixed conversion, I might just do 1 x 11 though. The main thing is that I want at least 30mm clearance, so I guess I need canti fittings. Something like a Dawes Galaxy would probably do the job.

Ideally, it would be for 700c as I have some unused wheels, but I could probably also consider an old 26" mtb as I think I also have some old Ringle wheels as well somewhere.

I would also need it posting. Thanks!

Here’s a couple of options for you.

Turn of the century Dawes Super Galaxy in good structural and aesthetic condition. 555mm top tube measurement. £90 posted in the UK.

Raleigh Gemini Trail XC from the late 80s/early 90s. Reynolds 531 frame, 525 forks. Structurally sound but aesthetically quite scrappy. Loads of tyre clearance, will comfortably fit 35-38mm tyres. 550mm top tube. £65 posted in the UK.

I have a charge plug here - 58cm with horizontal dropouts.

32mm tyres fitted on it fine and ultegra brake calipers cleared it all ok.

It's complete at the moment, but could consider selling f&f/ selection of parts.
