Cheap running road bike required!! Midlands area..

Hi there.
I am looking for a new ride as cheap as possible and within reasonable distance of the midlands, I have already scoured ebay and am watching a few bikes, ideally reynolds and ideally a Carlton or equivelant, many thanks for reading and if anybody can help me I would be eternaly grateful as I am recovering from an illness and do not have the money or energy to get a proper decent bike, so am looking at a retro/vintage restoration project.
