I have the year before version....my most comfy and most ridden bike!
I personally think the standard fork lets them down the steerer is flared instead of sleeved and allows the bottom race to budge or crack...well that's how it's been on the three Ive had!

And……..I’ve got the edge! I’m a big fan of GT road bikes, that one is Sheffield is a bargain.

That really is quite lovely, I think if my rag tag collection of bikes had enough value I'd sell em all for a titanium edge and a rigid zyxszingysngdangalang....you know the one! ....I never remember how to spell it

I thought the same a while ago, swapped a track bike for a Ti Edge and bought a Xizang. Maybe someone lighter/fitter than me would have appreciated them more but I much prefer the ride of the aluminium edge and Zaskar so the Ti stuff was moved on! That red ano edge was my first decent road bike, cost me £80 almost 20 years ago!

Anodised! I thought they were a tint lacquer..wow...looks in great shape! I've built up an old strike which is quite a fun ride when I'm in the mood for a thrash.
