Cheap Full Sus. 1 hour answer.

Hi experts. A friend is after a cheap full sus, nothing really very heavy duty. I told him there is no such thing as a cheap FS. Best bet is 2nd hand and old.

Question, is the Univega DS800 any good?
Is it worth owt?
Maybe a good start for upgrades?

Cost around £1,300 when bought, could only get it imported.

That's news to me. We used to sell loads of these and they were only about £450 bitd.

They were also 21 speed and that saddle wasn't the one that came with it. Good bikes for the money but not worth the £55 someone paid for it.

Also where would you get spares for the pivot? AfaIk Univega no longer have any for this bike.
