Not all WS used Max tubing or ovalised, Max was only introduced in 1990/91 so pre that was all round like my 1989 white spider. Even after that point it was all still truely custom and so he would have chosen tubing to suit an individual (why use Max is you are a 5ft 100lb women who doesn't really want a boneshaker stiff ride!).

Yes, his serial numbers are that obvious, year code first, mine starts 89!

I have learnt something new. Also glad to know that the serial numbers work that way so I can be certain mines a 92 .

What ever year or tubing I still love the fork on the one which just sold. I want one . Might have to get in touch with Roberts and see if they'll make me one, could be expensive though :? .

Anyway I reckon that was a good price at £300.

So anyone here get it? Do we get to see more of this one ??

Really great news, looking forward to seeing your pics too. Mine arrived a couple of days ago and I have only just unpacked it and taken a few preliminary pics this afternoon. I don't think i'll get a chance to sort them until next week though.

good score, nice bike (or it will be). It looks to have been resprayed by colourtech (who do all of roberts resprays) at some point in the past few years judging by the new font of the decals so it's obviously had a loving owner!
