Charity mountain bike ride for Bone Cancer Research Trust

Some friends of mine are doing a charity mountain bike ride for Bone Cancer Research Trust next weekend, thought it might tug a few heart strings here. This is what they've got to say:

What we are doing:
We are aiming to cycle from Wetherby to Filey which is quite a tall order for most of us.

Why we are doing it:
To raise money for Bone Cancer Research Trust - a charity that means a lot to us after Julian was diagnosed with primary bone cancer (osteosarcoma) in 2008. Primary bone cancer is incredibly rare, even more so in adults, and as such a tiny proportion of funds donated to cancer research actually goes to bone cancer research the treatments used now - and the success rates - are pretty much the same as they have been for 20+ years. Although it is a rare cancer it can be so very destructive - after 4 lots of chemo and despite the best efforts of the doctors, Julian had to have his arm amputated.

All donations gratefully received as they're very close to their target now.

One-armed cyclist
Fair play, he must have bigger kahunas than most of us on here to do that.
It's got to be hard going up, mental on the downs
