Chain ring bolts and bottom brackets

Hello, couple of queries.

I have a 90's/00's era Campagnolo Record 10 speed chainset (EPS power drive) and it does not have any crank bolts. Will standard 8mm square taper bolts work ok or is there anything specific to Campag I should look out for. The ones I am looking at using are the 8mm self extracting crank bolts from Middleburn - they don't specifically state anything about Campag or Shimano compatibility.

Lastly - is 70mm shell width x 102mm axle width the standard italian size bottom bracket for a double chainset?

Kind Regards,

Re:

I'm not sure ....
When I have tried to use campag crank bolts in a shimano axle, it will thread in and hold the crank in situ, but it buggers up the thread on the bolt. you can probably do this 2 or 3 times and then the thread is completely stripped.
guess I'm saying the threads are slightly different

Re:

Bah!

So although both 8mm it sounds like the internal thread pitch on a shimano and campagnolo BB axle might be slightly different.

Will keep scouring ebay for some original campag ones that don't cost a fortune.

Re:

That will be perfect if you - let me know how much you want for them. The crank arms have a thread for the cap but not sure if they were ever the self extracting type.

I've got a pair of the (modern) Allen key Campag bolts: £10 + postage.

PM if interested.

(I also have a pair of the (old) hex head bolts & washers too, same price.)
