Chain advice for Chorus 8sp

I have a 8sp 90's Chorus build bike in need of a chain & I need some pointers. I know there are many chains that will work with this set up and give 'reasonable' changes but what would be the best chain to use here?

Oh, the bike will be a user and not a garage queen.

Personally I use Campag and SRAM, either works nicely and lasts well.

I found the SRAM ones to be very good with Campag 8 speed. Any SRAM PC8xx chain will work well. The finish is the only difference as you move up the price range. I like the PC890 because its all silver.

According to SRAM's product manager all th echains are functionally the same, but don't buy the bottom of the range one as it's not hardened - all the others are.

The pricier models look nicer and have features to reduce weight a teeny bit.

Another vote from me for Connex; their 808 8sp. model is one of the best chains I've run in terms of smoothness and "life expectancy". Not cheap, but you do get your money's worth.
