I have one of those naff cassette-style MP3 adaptors for the Volvo's auto reverse ICE - trouble is, the cassette keeps clicking as though it is ready to switch direction, resulting in an irritating noise over the top of the MP3... anyone got any bodges to make it not want to turn around??

Yes, use the FM transmitter style ones instead. Much much better.

* edit

whats the head unit? Give us a pic or model number and I'll see if I have an adaptor that uses the CD multichanger inputs.

if you turn the little round knob on the left (on certain models its on the right) clockwise, it will go away.

amazingly this also stops squeaky brakes, loose drive belts, knackered wheel bearings, blowing exhausts, rattly dash boards and all manor of annoying car issues.

oooh, thats an oldie

FM transmitter then, I'm afraid. Garage ones with exciting brand names are better than the Belkin ones.

Unless you find me an alternative - really don't want to have to go to a Halfords to get me some ICE... :roll:

Whilst your on LFG, what do you know about RAM speakers/company - just bought a pair for the bookshelf and they sound tolerable.

RAM were a better than average 1970's brand name, good reasonable stuff.

the bigger models were copies of Spendor's BC1
