Car advice

Looking for a new car for my Mum, she currently has a Focus but I'm trying to convince her to go for something smaller. I had recommended a Toyota then they all went and got recalled :roll: Anyway smaller than a Focus, open to any make, something for a pensioner though she still doesn't like those van types they're all cutting about in. And on the economical side, and available in auto. Help me generate a shortlist

Honda Jazz are pretty good, only the 1.4 ES spec & above have an auto/manual box IIRC
