Picked up this neat little frame set off eBay for a great price. Size is 47cm so it’s perfect for me, I’m 5ft 3 and have always struggled to find a comfortable road bike, usually end up just selling them. The advantage to this one is that the wheels are 650c! Which funnily enough I had a set of those kicking about in the loft from a build (that never worked) I had visioned last year. Standover height is perfect, a million times better then my previous road bike. I’m probs going to build this up just for the turbo during winter then I’ll make it into a complete build for next summer.

Can anyone tell me what year/colour way the frame is? Struggling to find any info online.

This is how the bike arrived. I obviously stuck the wheels on before hand…

Here are the bits I’ve taken off the bike, won’t be needing brakes as mentioned before it’s only going to be used on the turbo.

Cannondale ‘Delta’ brakes? Never heard of em before. Don’t seem to be worth much.

3TTT now known as 3T ‘Morphe’ bars, won’t be needing these either! These seem too sell on eBay for various prices starting from £18 up to £30.

And finally this rather nice looking Cannondale stem, think I’m just gonna keep this as i’m sure it will come in handy sometime in the future.

Here’s me thinking the bike had a 1” steerer as all I could find online under ‘Cane Creek S2’ was 1” stuff, but it’s actually a rare 1 1/8” version, I guess it’s not super old…at least I don’t have to use the step down!

Some more updates to the turbo rig:

- Salsa QR seatclamp
- 110mm Tune Stem, thanks to @trailstar82

This always happens when I deliberately try to cheap out on builds, it never happens! My stuff is too nice lol. Just randomly find a Salsa 32.0 QR seatclamp sitting on top of my tool chest which is a perfect fit! Automatic upgrade…the stem I originally bought for a classic MTB build but the anodised red didn’t match the forks so thought I may as well use on this😉

And would you look at that!

Bit complicated and hard too explain but we usually use MTB’s on the turbo so that’s a 2x10 setup with obviously MTB cassette at the back. This means I have to run a MTB groupset on this bike for it to mesh in with everything…think I’m gonna run flat bars anyways just for comfort.

68mm BB No Problemo👌
